Zen and the ailing Mets fan

As the season comes to a not-soon-enough close for this Mets fan, I find myself flummoxed. Exasperated. Mostly speechless. So I've turned to some of my Twitterati to help sum up this year's season for me. In Haiku. Here's what they've come up with (a few with some syllabic license):

Torture and sorrow
Injured, spirit broken down
Twenty ten, oh boy

Hope lives.
Team gets injured.
Hope dies.

As I lick my palms,
all thoughts of championships fade,
no control, just yips.

One for Ollie:
Jerry pull me quick,
I think I no pitch too bad,
money for nothing.

One for the season's magic moment:
Way up in the sky,
I see a bird and a cloud,
Where did the ball go?

And one to sum things up:
Sports Illustrated.
Chosen ones end in fourth place.
